Programming databases Oracle

Today the vast majority of applications are database driven. The database is a key corporate asset, often represents the margin between success and failure. Since the use of databases becomes more pervasive, the need has arisen to develop a language that can retrieve and manipulate data in the database. Thus was born Structured Query Language (SQL). This language works in a totally different way to languages such as C++ or COBOL, which are often referred to as "procedural" programming languages. Code written in these languages implies the end result as specifically define the means or procedures to get there. Back SQL specifically determined the final result, leaving it to the system for the management of the database (DBMS) to determine the method to receive data. Therefore, the SQL is relatively simple language with a restricted syntax. Although there are many standards for structure and mathematical underpinnings of SQL, commercial programming standards have been rare. The only widely used standard for many years is that the SQL statement must be spread over several lines. Databases have changed significantly in recent years. The database is no longer the only repository of raw information. Today, knowledge of ...
